Sirius Healing

My career path has been a “180” of sorts, with many twists and a few detours along the way. Always having focused in school on math and science, I became an Electrical Engineer. Holding “top secret” clearance, I designed radar on the Air Force base where they built F16s. While I enjoyed the designing aspect and knew that the work I did was important, I needed something more people oriented and “hands on”. Many years of school and training later, I became a Plastic Surgeon. Somewhere in the middle, I took a break from my surgical practice and opened Whimsy Home Decor on Seattle’s Capitol Hill that was full of the bright colors I had long used to counter the often-dreary drizzle of Seattle.

I became “hooked” on Sound and Energy through a beautiful experience in 2019. That summer, our surgical office retreat included a group Sound Bath with a Shaman that was listed on our schedule as Yoga.

I felt so very deeply at peace though the session and long afterward. A few hours later, I was sitting outdoors with a coworker, when a stranger walked by and offered to take a few photos. My friend was stunned when she looked at them: I was surrounded by a soft purple glow!! That was the day I both felt and saw the incredible healing power of Sound.

Since then, I have been working with her on my own path to healing while immersing myself in classes, learning many methods of working with both Sound and Energetic Fields. Five years down that road, I quit my job as a surgeon to become a very different sort of healer.

Just a few days ago, I realized that I’d also, in a way, come full circle from the “Seriously Fun” tag line I’d used for my store to “Sirius Healing”.
